Yohimbe primarily works by inhibiting Alpha-2-Adrenergic receptors which increases noradrenaline release in the body. Greater Noradrenaline (also known as norepinephrine) levels have been shown by research to increase arousal and alertness, improve focus, increase heart rate, trigger the release of glucose/glycogen for energy, and increase blood flow to muscles.
